RANDY AITKENS - Heart By Pass Surgery
I had seen an article in AARP about Med Journeys and started talking to them. I researched everything. I was more worried about the hospitals and the doctors. I could have done it on my own but the only thing was the unsurity of the country not knowing… and I figured it was worth paying Med Journeys to do it. Many others didn’t seem they had it all together as Med Journey did.
Med Journeys had the whole thing going and made great arrangement without any hassles. Their staff in India met us at the airport, picked us up, took us to the hospital and took good care of my wife too.
I would recommend Med Journeys. They did a great job and there were no complaints. They followed up before hand and made it pleasant. I never planned on having surgery. They made it no hassle, that is the big thing. I think in America that is important, no hassle. But they did great. I was very happy...
I had a heart blockage and have been taking a lot of nitroglycerin, I had two heart attacks and had 19 angiograms, angioplasties, and 12 stents. All this has cost at least $650,000 and my out-of-pocket

I am self employed so I didn’t have any health insurance. A by-pass surgery was unaffordable in America. I had seen a clip on 60 minutes about a guy what went to Thailand for his surgery and started looking at the internet. I found Med Journeys and a few others but liked Med Journeys.

Going overseas, I could not picture them doing it right.

When I arrived at the hospital it was at night and was still a bit leary. In the morning, I saw the scenery and other parts of the hospital and especially the technology was really good and I didn’t feel worried about having my open heart surgery. Moreover the hospital was very Clean.
My surgeon was Top notch, His background is really good. And Dr. Hassan was the surgeon and he did very good too. He has been here in the states for about 10 years or more. Very highly qualified. Really good , one -on- one. I didn’t have any other doctors here in the States that saw me twice a day after I was out , Explained everything before we started. They were real great.
The Charter house Guest House was very nice, it was a really nice pleasant place, there were very nice people, try to really accommodate you. You couldn’t ask for a better place, and better people, they were great.
I would recommend Med Journeys. They did a great job and there were no complaints. They followed up before hand and made it pleasant. I never planned on having surgery. DAWN - Bladder Surgery
I would like to thank everyone at Med Journeys for their help and their first class treatment. I was bouncing from hospital to hospital here in the US, seeing many specialists, but they didn’t tell me anything. For 5 months, the doctor’s kept telling me to come back for more testing, and nothing was getting done. I was getting sicker and sicker, so I made a choice. After talking to the Med Journey Case Managers, Tim and Jeff, I was reassured. All my questions were answered fully. I would not have had this success without Med Journeys and Bangkok Hospital. We are more than happy, you guys went above and beyond… if someone had told me how good Med Journeys would have been I would not have believed it, until I actually experienced it. I would never send my children or myself to another US hospital again.
I couldn’t have put my wife in better hands than Med Journeys.

I feel very grateful to have selected Med Journeys to facilitate my surgery experience. They found an excellent surgeon (I actually had a team of doctors checking in on me), an excellent hospital, and a wonderful guest house for my post hospital stay. I couldn't have done it on my own, and I was never disappointed in the level of care or in the services that were promised. Our liaison, Prahba, was absolutely wonderful if we needed anything. After I arrived home, Med Journeys sent a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Many in the states are interested in my experience and I tell them I feel I had better care in India than I could have gotten here.

BONNIE LEONHARDT - Laparoscopy
Thanks, Tim. I received the operation report I requested, and am grateful for the help. I just had my second fill. He was excited about my band, which seems to be a new improved model that is expensive here so the hospital won’t allow him to use it.
He has a number of patients who had their surgery in Mexico. I am feeling great, and losing slowly but steadily since I got the fill. I have talked with a number of people about Med Journeys….. Thanks again for your help.
VAL FINCH - Hysterectomy
I was very pleased with Med Journey. I also received top-notch care at Clinica Biblica. I highly recommend them both. I felt very safe there. Medical Journey lined up my surgery with Clinica Biblica, booked my hotel accommodations, booked my flights, everything was scheduled and arranged.
My husband and I flew to Costa Rica (from Florida, U.S.A.). We were met at the airport by a shuttle driver, who was very courteous, helpful and friendly. He drove us to our hotel, El Rodeo. The folks at the hotel were nice and helpful. Accommodations were comfortable. The shuttle driver picked us up and drove us to and from the hospital. He also drove us when we did some sight seeing/tours. I had a hysterectomy and spent two nights at the hospital. I was very pleased and impressed with the quality of care that I received there. Jim and I were greeted at the hospital by Bill Cook and Starlene Spencer Vincent. They stayed with me during the pre-op tests and admissions process. They are wonderful folks. My surgeon, Dr. Calderon was terrific as well. Very kind, caring and thorough. The hospital rooms are private and roomy. My husband was able to sleep on a couch in my room with me. My surgery was a hysterectomy.
I was very pleased with their attentiveness. I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Med Journey and Clinica Biblica! I highly recommend their services.
