Are the physicians and hospitals of good quality?
All of our procedures are performed by highly-qualified, pre-screened, English-speaking surgeons with excellent bedside manners. Most of them have been schooled, trained, or practiced in North America or Europe and many are world renowned. All our physicians have been screened and interviewed by the Med Journeys medical team.

Prior to incorporating each hospital and hotel into our elite network of affiliates, our Medical team personally visited and inspected each location in order to ensure that it met with our high standards and quality assurance tests. Do your hospitals have the latest equipment ?
Our affiliate hospitals are equipped with the latest state-of-the art facilities and the most recent equipment. Robotic surgery for example was initiated in India about five years ago and it has just recently been introduced in North America. Similarly most of the hospitals maintain the latest equipment, including the 64 slide CT Scan. The infection rate at our hospitals is also less than many hospitals in North America. Can I take a companion?
Traveling is always more enjoyable when you have company. Med Journeys recognizes that and encourages you to have your spouse, relative, or loved one to accompany you on your Med Journey abroad. Your companion(s) can remain with you throughout treatment and recuperation.

Upon your arrival abroad, if you have the strength and stamina, we encourage you and your companion to take in the local sights and suggest that you plan your activities prior to surgery or extend your stay after the prescribe recovery period.

Our packages are already custom tailored to accommodate your companion at very reasonable prices. We have already negotiated with our affiliate hospitals, hotels, and transportation companies for your companion to stay at these facilities on a complimentary basis. Since our packages are “All-Inclusive” your companions are just charged for their meals and of course the airfare.

Your companion will never be alone, or bored during your surgery and stay in the ICU. Our Host Country Managers will look after them and, if they so desire, accompany them on shopping and sightseeing excursions. Return to top >

Step-by-step, how does the process work?
After you visit MedJourneys.com and have decided on your procedure(s), here is a simplified breakdown to guide you through the medical tourism process:

1. Call us at 888-633-5769 or contact Med Journeys via the online registration form.
2. A Case Manager (CM) will call you within 24 hours.
3. You will receive a detailed proposal information from your personal CM (including a price quotation).
4. Discuss all details with your CM during your follow-up call.
5. Complete your personal medical questionnaire which will be sent to your surgeon abroad. If necessary may require X-rays or MRI’s. This information is kept confidential and viewed by the Medical Team only.
6. A conference call will be arranged between you, your physician abroad, your doctor here & The Med Journeys team.
7. Finalize your procedures and trip itinerary (including all required medical documents).
8. Depart for your chosen destination/hospital.
9. Greeted by your HCM at the airport. You are given your own mobile phone for use abroad.
10. Meet your doctor for the initial consultation. For major surgery it is suggested that you arrive at your destination two days prior for pre-op tests.
11. Undergo your procedure.
12. Recuperate and relax in Deluxe surroundings.
13. Tour your beautiful destination.
14. Travel home.
15. Your CM will call to follow-up and hear all about your wonderful Med Journeys experience.
